I am a mixed media artist who uses the ancient technique of Opus Sectile, in creating my stone art mosaics. Opus Sectile was popularized in the ancient and medieval Roman world where materials were cut, shaped, and fitted together as a jigsaw puzzle and inlaid into walls and floors to make a picture. I love bringing the beauty of nature inside and incorporating the soothing, positive energy of beautiful crystals in all my work to enhance my art pieces and spread more joy.

I have a couple of finished pieces ready to share, I have a few works in progress waiting for homes, and I'm always interested in creating custom projects for art lovers. For sale pieces are listed on this FB page under Photos—For Sale Album.

If you have an idea for a stone mosaic you'd love—a photo of a place or something that means a great deal to you, email me and if I can, I'd be happy to create a unique piece of art that touches your soul.

Please be aware that this is NOT a quick process! It often takes months to create one piece—depending upon the size. And the stone I use isn’t something I can go to the store and purchase. My husband and I hunt up specific slices of granite, sandstone, volcanic rock, etc. while out hiking in the Rocky Mountains or along the Washington coastline. I attend gem shows twice yearly to collect raw crystals with lovely energy, to be incorporated in future pieces.

Almost always, I'm asked how I create my mosaics with just a tile saw, so I will be posting a series of YouTube videos detailing my process, so people can see how I do what I do, and understand the months of work that go into each creation.
